Close your eyes and feel through your day in your mind. Touch the things you love and skim that which holds onto tendrils of yourself that you’d rather not have pulled. Then, acknowledge those pieces, that tugging energy that is the heaviness of the burden.
It means nothing. Turn it over in your mind and understand that it is a creation of the past and of fear. It isn’t even a real thing. It is of its own energy, given to itself by moments stolen from your joy.
Take back your joy and let go of each of these weights. Feel the lightness and freedom of the space that is created once you let it go.
It’s there, open and beautiful, just like you.
Now, create something that you want to grow there. Plant seeds of your intent and then take action upon them.
This is not something that will leave you weightless in a day but a daily practice of mindfulness that will cultivate a spirit of forgiveness in and of your self and for others.
