What’s holding you back may surprise you
Have you ever been pushing yourself and moving toward a goal or a set point and you just felt exhausted?
Have you ever felt no energy to do something you had been committed to or had been planning to do and you just don’t understand why?
Have you ever stopped, in those situations, and examined, piece by piece, the intricacies of all of that movement without any momentum?
When we are feeling lack luster about something or have lost our mojo, as some say, it is time to re-group. We suggest digging through all of those emotions and physical sensations and discovering for yourself what it is at its core. What you find may surprise you.
We have found that when we are somehow pulled into the view or context of another person, that doesn’t quite align with our intents or commitment and our own view, things get a little sideways. Some people call this emotional vampirism. But, let’s not go finger pointing here.
The ontological approach would be to look at our own being. What is off just enough from our own view that it is causing our inner peace to cloud? The thing is, when we allow ourselves to absorb other people’s opinions, thoughts and view of health, diet, lifestyle or anything important to us, we allow our clear space to get crowded by things we aren’t committed to.
When these funky feelings creep in, look around. Look at your inner space and see where you have pushed you aside in favor of wearing someone else’s view of how your life should be. It is there that your truth will climb back into the drivers seat and propel you to the goals and dreams that you hold so dear.
